When I scripted these pages, I wanted to make sure that when I posted them they were posted all together to give a more full effect of the story and the battle these characters are fighting.

The lighting for this scene was also really important as well, to give a vibrant battle of colors. As I worked on this batch of pages, which include the earlier two pages I posted and the next three, I actually did all the backgrounds first. This was to make sure I got the lighting right as the sun sets and the stars come out. It allowed for some really dynamic lighting, which has been super fun to draw!

Sometimes I lament that I don't have any assistants right now to help make the comic faster. But then I get to pages like these where I can really deep dive into the art and make it exactly how I want. While assistants would be nice, it would impact the art and I'm not sure I'd ever be able to vocalize exactly what I was wanting to them.
