Sometimes it�s the little things that make a big impact. While I was working on this chapter, I felt that something was missing. I really wanted Hallren and Victorious to have some sort of meaningful interaction, but I wasn�t sure what. Hallren doesn�t have a very solid father-figure in his life and I wanted to give Victorious a chance to step forward into that role for him. But their initial meeting was hard for me to nail down.

I kept running through different ideas as I kept working on pages until I finally hit the point of �If I�m gonna put this missing piece in, it�s gotta be now or never.� So I had to take a pause and really figure out what I wanted this scene to be and I eventually landed on this.
